We have just been\nnot ified that Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings are canceling\n their summer tour\, for health reasons. As a result we will be unable to \npresent them as planned on July 14 at River Run. Shar on\nJones has been diagnosed with stage-one bile duct cancer\, which has\n fortunately been discovered early. It is expected that the immediate\nprop osed surgical solution will lead to a full recovery\, but because of its\n invasive and complex nature\, will necessitate a rather lengthy\nconvalesc ence.
While The Center is disappointed that we will not be\nable to present Sharon Jones this summer\, we wish her a speedy recovery. In\nthe meantime\, Center staff are working diligently to find a great\np erformer to fill the summer concert slot. Please stay tuned as\ nwe work through some options. We will be in touch via email with our\nm embers as well as through our website and local media outlets as soon as\n there is news to announce.
