Up In\nFlames: A History of Fire Fighting in the Forest (1984) documents the\ndevel opment of North American fire detection\, communication and fire\nsuppress ion technology – it explores the impact of Idaho’s 1910 Big\nBlowup an d Oregon’s 1933 Tillamook Burn and their impact on the research\nand dev elopment of fire fighting technology.

The Lookout\n(2011) is an intimate look into the solitary life\, work and environment of\none fire lookout in Montana’s Flathead National Forest. As fire lookouts\nar e being replaced by cameras and technology\, this is a quiet glimpse into\ na fading time in fire history.

Wildland Fire\, Smokejumping\, and\nthe Great Basin Smokejumpers (2012) video was created specifica lly to\nteach the public about the work and workings of smokejumpers – a nd to be\nable to share the information with visitors to the Smokejumpers ’ base\nwhen they are in the field and cannot tour visitors through thei r Boise\nlocation.

Forests Under Fire (2012) was created b y Northern\nArizona University’s Ecological Restoration Institute and ex plores where\nwe are today and what we should be doing to prevent devastat ing wildfires\,\nbut also why we need fire as a healthy part of our ecolog y.

Since the group's\ninc eption in late 2007\, the Portland Cello Project (or\, PCP\, as their fans \naffectionately call them)\, has wowed audiences all over the country wit h\nextravagant performances\, everywhere from Prairie Home Companion\, to that\npunk rock club in the part of town your grandma warns you not to go to\nafter dark. The group has built a reputation mixing genres and blurrin g\nmusical lines and perceptions wherever they go. No two shows are alike\ ,\nwith a repertoire now numbering over 800 pieces of music you wouldn't\n normally hear coming out of a cello.

Portland Cello Project will\nw ork with students from Wood River High School’s chamber orchestra and\nt heir vocal group\, Spiritus\, while here. The students will participate in a\nfew selections during the evening concert.
