How can artists transition into public art by working with\nfabricato rs\, collaborating with other artists\, or thinking differently\nabout wha t they design? Karen Bubb\, who teaches \"Public Art Academy\" in\nBoise a nd is a member of a national board for public art\, will provide an\noverv iew of the current public art field and specific tips on applying for\npro jects. Artists who are interested in \"breaking in\" to the public art\nfi eld are encouraged to attend. Citizens interested in art in public places\ nare also welcome.
Karen Bubb holds a Masters in Public\nAdministrat ion\, a Graduate Certificate in Community &amp\; Regional\nPlanning\, Bois e State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts\, University of\nOregon. Ka ren Bubb is Public Arts Manager for the Boise City Department of\nArts &am p\; History and Capital City Development Corporation (Boise’s\ndowntown redevelopment agency). She is also an Affiliate for Boise State\nUniversit y’s (BSU) Centre for Creativity and Innovation in the College of\nBusine ss and Economics.
