\nCome and make art\nins pired by the work of Idaho artist James Castle. Born in 1889 in\nIdaho’s West Central mountains\, Castle was deaf from birth and never\nlearned to speak. He communicated instead through his artwork\, interpreting\nhis su rroundings with drawings created from found paper and cardboard\, soot\nan d spit\, ink and pigment. Many of his works are imbued with a magical\,\nn arrative quality and\, taken as a whole\, they tell a very particular stor y\nof a life lived entirely in Idaho. Alter your perspective by limiting\n various senses. How does the process of making art change when your senses \nare challenged?

Jeffrey Wolf's acclaimed film reveals\nCastle’s life and creative process\, as told by family members\, art\nhistorians\, curators\, artists\, collectors\, and members of the deaf\ncommunity. This inspirational story of a true Outsider Artist is a\nremarkable example of the triumph of the spirit – and the\nimagination.
Heming way: Wrestling with Life (100\nminutes) takes a deep look at one of the 20th century’s great literary\nfigures through still photography\ , commentaries and readings\, and guided by\nthe narration of his granddau ghter Mariel Hemingway. This film\, directed by\nStephen Crisman\, takes u s from Hemingway’s Midwestern childhood through\nhis tragic suicide in K etchum.
