Explore the intersection of landscape photography with portraiture. Learn about camera settings, making lens choices and using natural light to compose powerful landscape photographs and environmental portraits. The two-day workshop will consist of classroom instruction and a location shoot allowing participants the opportunity to practice their photography skills, learn the basics of editing, and engage in the post-production process.
Students will need:
- Camera (ideally DSLR or Mirrorless with wide angle lens and low aperture)
- A wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens (70-200mm) recommended, if available
- Tripod
- Remote Timer
- Laptop for editing (Digital editing software, not required)
Age & ability: 17+, basic knowledge of how to operate your camera in manual mode; advanced photography skills not required.
This 2-session workshop takes place Sat & Sun, Sep 14 & 15, 10am–5pm, at the Hailey Classroom.
