WORKSHOP: Printmaking with Drypoint & Chine Collé

with Angela Batchelor

Sábado, Junio 7, 2025 - 10:00 AM

Explore intaglio printmaking and the addition of chine collé (a collage process) in this one-day intensive workshop.  Scratch an image into a plate with a point tool, add ink, then run the plate through the printing press.  Add chine collé (a collage process) to your prints to make them one-of-a-kind.

Learn the history of drypoint printing and how to use an etching press to create prints. Leave the workshop with a series of prints and drypoint plates that you can use in future printmaking projects, including Open Studios: Printmaking in the fall.

You don't need any experience, and all supplies will be provided as part of the workshop fee. Students are welcome to bring images as sources of inspiration and/or collage materials that they might want to work with.

The workshop will take place from 10am-3pm, Sat. June 7th at the Hailey Classroom.
