Already have a strong watercolor painting practice? Interested in sharing your work and getting feedback with other watercolor artists? Join artist Sue Johnston as she guides participants through the process of sharing their work and ideas. This informal setting is a place to get feedback, suggestions and tips on watercolor painting. Participants are welcome to bring in projects that they are working on, have finished or are just starting. These afternoon sessions are a chance to get to know other watercolor artists and create a sense of community.
Sue Johnston is a local watercolor artist who has been painting, teaching and exhibiting since 1998. Her work has been shown throughout the United States, and her work is part of the 2025 Idaho Watercolor Association traveling show. She is also a Master Signature member of the California Watercolor Association. Watercolor is her favorite medium to work in as she is excited by its brilliant colors, fluidity and challenge. Learning from both her students and other artists is an integral part of her artistic practice and serves to inform her teaching as well as her own watercolor work. Sue’s philosophy is summed up in the quote by Maya Angelou, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
18+, prior watercolor painting experience suggested.
